Consultancies in Scotland have included work on quality assurance for the University of Glasgow Faculty of Education (formerly St Andrew's College of Education), assistance with self-evaluation at St Aloysius' College, Glasgow, an evaluation of the Scottish Centre for Information on Language Teaching (SCILT).
A version of Focus on Quality was commissioned by Argyll & Bute District Council and a version with development planning and reporting modules was commissioned by West Dunbartonshire District Council.
Versions of Focus on Quality have also been installed in other local authorities and individual schools.
In England, versions of Focus on Quality have been installed in schools in various schools.
Focus on Quality has been used in Northern Ireland in schools and in the regional Training Centre
A version of Focus on Quality has been installed in secondary schools in various parts of the Republic of Eire
I lead an international evaluation team carrying out a full evaluation of the school education system in Cyprus, undertaken by the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) and subsequently led a training team to carry out training in some aspects of the system that the report had indicated required development.
Consultancy and training in the restructuring of the primary school inspectorate and the establishment of management of a new district structure for educational administration, funded by the World Bank. A full inspection and self-evaluation model was developed and subsequently this was provided as a special version of Focus on Quality for computer support.
Consultancy on a new career structure for teachers and assistance with the preparation of implementation schedules linked to the new Education Act
