Self-Evaluation
|
|
Rationale for Self-Evaluation and Development Planning A model is included to outline the whole quality development process. EvalPro Online Self-Evaluation system EvalPro is a computer-assisted quality development system to support schools in providing the highest standards of education. It has been used with quality assurance criteria from various countries. The criteria used in the online version includes material from the Republic of Ireland linked to detailed material provided by Philip Drake. In the online version, users can add in their own comment or additional material. The system can be directly linked to Curriculum programme (such as 5-14 in Scotland or National Curriculum in England) through the inclusion of the Attainment Targets for each learning area. It is thus possible to merge curriculum evaluation with the more general issues of self-evaluation. EvalPro thus contains a large database of quality development criteria which has been drawn from international research and previous systems. This material can be merged with any other systems world wide, providing a wide range of supporting and supplementary material. Included within the EvalPro material is a set of Criteria for Christian Education which can also be merged with other systems. This material is designed to assist schools wishing to develop a specifically Christian ethos within the national structure. The system can be provided with or without this additional material Tools are provided to assist schools in the main activities necessary to undertake self-evaluation and development planning, reporting on progress to the school board or local education authority and preparing the Standards and Quality Report.
